The issue is designed by graphic designer Esther Bergé of the Royal Dutch Mint. On the obverse is the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 tulip depicted in the middle, surrounded by icons of all practiced sports.

The reverse of the issue shows the mint and privy mark, with the inscription “Invictus Games The Hague 2020”. The tulip and letters “I AM” are gilded against a black platinum background, in line with the colours of the Games' logo.
